On July 7, 2016, five police officers were killed and eight police officers were injured in the line of duty in a deliberate attack on the Dallas Police Department, Dallas Area Rapid Transit Police, and El Centro College Police. Run For The Blue was founded in response to this attack to support fallen and injured officers and their families.
Run For The Blue Dallas is a 5K and 1 Mile run / walk on July 28, 2016.
Registration for the event is free. You will have the option to add a donation during the registration process.
100% of proceeds from the event will go to the families. Proceeds will be distributed through the National Latino Law Enforcement Organization's Signal 15 fund.
We encourage cities around the country to create their own Run For The Blue event to support local fallen and injured officers. Email email@example.com for details.
It will be hot on event day. Drink water, take in electrolytes, and take it easy on your run or walk. Ask for help if you feel dizzy or sick.
